The first portion of the three-section High Line, which runs near the Hudson River from Gansevoort Street to West 20th Street, will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. There are entrances at Gansevoort Street (stairs) and at 16th Street (elevator); exits are located every few blocks.also, a hidden city gem: the elevated acre, located just a few blocks down from where i work. a must-visit. they also play old films there on tuesday nights in july as part of the river-to-river festival.
17-year old dallas-based fashion blogger jane aldridge of sea of shoes (which I like a lot) and urban outfitters have joined forces to create a capsule collection of three styles. all are set to release in july (a mere few weeks from now).
called j. aldridge by sea of shoes, the line will include knee-high brown leather peep-toe boots featuring top-stitched detailing and lacing at the front, black gladiator heels with studs and twin buckle straps, and lace-up pointy skimmers. “i’m really excited to bring my designs to urban outfitters. the inspiration for this collection is a mish-mash of some of the elements of my favorite pairs—sort of victoriana meets gladiator warrior.” what do you think of the results?
(fuck a footwear line. i just want my own fashion column.)
i think this is pretty ridiculous (owning a shit ton of designer shoes does NOT a shoe designer make) but i’m definitely getting those skimmers (a la CDG. come on… did she REALLY “design” these?!?!?).
i love this. all of it. this is kind of outfit that makes me angry with my thighs.
holy mother. i want to be her.
